Elly Kang was born in South Korea and is pursuing a B.A in studio art at the University of Texas at Austin.
She is learning skills in various artistic media, such as 2D, 3D, Print, Painting, Time/Tech, Expanded Media, Digital Time, and Photography.
In her practice, Elly is deeply interested in communicating visual ideas across various platforms. She started exploring the power of visuals as a communication tool by participating in an internship for a non-profit organization, We Go Public, and managing a social feed for her studio art class. To broaden her experiences and develop her professional skills, she works as a communications intern at Landmarks, public art program at The University of Texas, and a studio assistant for an Austin-based local painter in Pierce and Paint. She is currently pursuing opportunities where she can apply her visual art experiences and design skills to create interactive content materials for online communities.
